Location:
I am always in favor of hosting a portrait session at your sentimentally preferred location; however, I do offer an outdoor location in Marquez, TX! 549 Old Flynn Rd is moderately maintained with open & wooded scenery. There is an old barn and a small pond. Be prepared to change in your vehicle if you bring multiple outfit options; there is no electricity or running water.  Watch where you are stepping always.
Be sure to pull the location up on your GPS DAYS before your session if you are unsure of the location, send a screenshot to me, and we can make certain that you are headed to the correct location BEFORE your session date!
Styling:
When choosing coordinating colors for your outfits, I suggest selecting softer, lighter tones and muted shades contrasted by bold colors. The camera loves shades of soft pink and muted blues, mixed with light neutrals grays, creams, and whites. Contrast those with dark pants, jackets, or cardigans - think navy, maroon, and emerald.
Use patterns sparingly, and accessorize with pieces that compliment.
Wear appropriate footwear, and consider bug spray and sunscreen.
Posing:
Rather than run you through a list of poses during a session, I prefer to allow your unique personalities to shine through by prompting you to do you own thing with intermittent direction. I like to guide you into the scene I am shooting for, let you take off into your natural look, and make slight adjustments from there.
Receiving your Finished, Full-Resolution Images:
You will have access to download individual files or your entire gallery from your emailed link. I give myself a full 2 weeks (14 days) to edit, review, and deliver the full gallery; however, you will typically receive your finished, full-resolution Pixieset Gallery much sooner! There are helpful tips throughout your gallery to assist you in the navigation process, but never hesitate to let me know if you have any concerns.
Weather concerns:
I have not yet figured out how to control the weather (lol), but I do pay close attention to the forecast throughout the 3-7 days leading up to your session. If severe inclimate weather concerns in the 24-48 hours prior to your session cause us to need to re-schedule, I will promptly email a list of dates & times that I have available to do so.
