Light pink hues and white florals for a union graced with elegance
Photographing weddings has allowed me to truly explore all of the available options to make wedding days THE best they can be - I can tell you that my ideal wedding is based around David & Charlotte's. Not because of the venue, incredible vendors involved, or the all around "perfection" of the day, but because their wedding was centered around their marriage.
From the very beginning, my experience with them as a couple has been different, and I am obsessed with the way they work together through the hiccups and catch each other's gaze across the room. It's absolutely magical.
Charlotte decided to bring David along for her bridal portrait session; YESSSS HONEY! Let's take all the time we need to get those "first look" jitters out of the way, and allow all of those heavy emotions to flow. It was one of the most passionate portrait sessions I have ever had the honor of capturing, and I knew then that the wedding would tug my own heartstrings to the point of tears.
I was so proud to have Mary Pena Photography there with me on the wedding day! She and I have tag-teaming weddings down to an art, and it came in extremely handy with a couple of time-crunches and a some new challenges with a little rain!
David & Charlotte's unique details each came with a cherished explanation, and their thoughtful gifts to each parent were received with such heartfelt emotion. Personal letters to each other and Charlotte's father's first look at his daughter as a bride both brought joy-filled tears to the room. The ceremony was filled with such harmony and strength that I felt myself holding my breath hanging onto their exchanged vows! Guests were easily entertained with fabulous drinks and or hors d'oeuvres upstairs while their awesome vendor team and bridal party swapped out the entire ceremony site for a dance floor to get the party started. After a short video chat with Charlotte's family in England, a scrumptious dinner, and lovely toasts, you could say the newlyweds "danced the night away", then drove off for their honeymoon in a getaway car dreams are made of!
I couldn't think of a better fairy-tale start to a new life together if I tried!
